Carruth Cellars Urban Winery sources grapes from Central and Northern California, and Willamette Valley OR, and produces award winning wine in Solana Beach CA. We're increasing our production by 100 tons this year and are looking for an enthusiastic, hard-working addition to our team to help us process our 2018 vintage - roughly September 1st through October 31st. We're looking for people with winemaking experience and offering special accommodations to those that require travel to fulfill this position (are you a young winemaker in the Southern Hemisphere? Perfect!).

We're a small team with all hands on deck, so expect ample opportunity for one on one learning and experience. Winemaking experience? Awesome! Haven't worked a crush season before? That's OK too, as long as you have a good attitude, ability to work hard and well with others, and a willingness to learn and follow directions.

The Seasonal Winemaker will assist with all phases of the wine making process, from preparing the winery for crush, managing the fermentations, cleaning and sanitizing, and setting up the cellar for Winter. This is physical work that requires a healthy condition (both physically and mentally), and the ability to move around a barrel, lift 50lbs, and operate a forklift. There will be long days, and applicants should be prepared to work 6 days a week. 

Live out of the country? We will provide travel to and from Solana Beach CA + room and board. Note: We speak Spanish!
