Carruth Cellars is an Urban Winery based out of Solana Beach, CA. The Wine Garden, Carruth’s latest location in Little Italy San Diego, offers artisan custom-made cheese boards in our prep kitchen. We’re looking for qualified, enthusiastic, hard-working individuals who have experience in a small prep kitchen or expertise in cheese/charcuterie to join our growing team. Fast learners that are self managed with go-getter attitudes welcome!

This is a part time position (16-30 hrs week) paying minimum wage + tips


-Applicants must be available evenings and some weekends/holidays, have experience in a prep kitchen, deli, and or cheese shop, have strong communication skills, capable of and comfortable with using kitchen equipment and knives, and able to be part of a team and work together in a fast-paced environment

- Experience with cheese and meats and/or wine pairings a plus

- Expert customer service

- Must be able to use hands and cut and chop, as well as other tasks

- Mobility required during the entire shift

- Must be able to stand for long periods of time (up to 6 hours)

- Must be able to carry at least 50 lbs (1 case of wine, large cheese wheels, etc)

- California Food Handler's Certificate required (or obtained witbin 30 days of hire)


- Prep work, front of house menu preparation, food running

- Willing and able to perform daily/weekly cleaning as assigned

- Communication with Management of any food or supplies needed/inventory
